Young campers learn best in a fun environment that piques their curiosity. Fairmont’s Preschool Camp combines guided play and exploratory learning with guest visitors and on-campus adventures for a dynamic summer learning experience. Fairmont’s program encourages problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, develops vocabulary and oral language, and helps build independence and social skills. Campers refine their fine motor skills through activities like painting and making paper crafts. They build gross motor skills through sports, creative movement, and outdoor play. Each week of camp is unique, keeping camp fresh all summer long. Campers will benefit from daily afternoon enrichment activities consisting of Spanish, Martial Arts, Music, Sports, Dance, and Yoga.

*Junior Kindergarten will run a modified Preschool schedule involving additional academic enrichment.

Please note: Your child must be fully potty trained before attending Summer Camp.

GENERAL

How do I enroll?

You may enroll in our summer programs by clicking the Enroll button in the top right corner or click here. Once you complete the full application, you will be sent a confirmation email confirming enrollment and payment.  Fairmont requires full payment at the time of enrollment. 

Are the summer programs open to non-school year students?

Yes! Fairmont Summer Programs are open to the community. You do not need to be a school year Fairmont student to attend any of our summer programs. If you are interested in joining Fairmont during the school year, the summer is a great opportunity to meet Fairmont teachers, get familiar with the campus, and prepare for the upcoming school year academics. 

What is your refund policy?

Fairmont Summer Programs will issue a refund prior to June 1st for any changes in your summer schedule after deducting cancellation fees. After June 1st, no refunds will be granted. Please contact Fairmont Summer Programs to inquire about a refund: summer@fairmontschools.com. Cancellation fees apply as follows: $100 cancellation fee for any cancellations through March 31 $200 cancellation fee for any cancellations through April 30 $400 cancellation fee for any cancellations through May 31. No refunds will be granted for cancellations after June 1st.

I work full-time. Do you provide any before and after program care? What is the cost?

Complimentary extended care is available for children enrolled in summer camp at no additional cost from 7:00 AM-9:00 AM and/or 4:00 PM-6:00 PM. Also available mornings from 7:00 AM-9:00 AM for children enrolled in summer school at no additional charge.

For working parents, Fairmont's extended day program is a convenient option. Before and after regular camp hours, the Fairmont staff will provide your child with games, sports, and crafts aimed to zap boredom and help your child maximize summer fun. (After 6:00 PM, there is a $1 per minute late pick-up charge.)

Are there additional registration or activity fees?

There are no additional costs to our programs. Fees include all activities, instruction, and afternoon snacks.

Camp fees do not include lunch which can be purchased for $6 per day at the lunch table at your campus. 

Do you offer a sibling discount?

Fairmont offers an earlybird 10% discount through the month of April for all summer school and summer camp registrations instead of a sibling discount. Discounts don't apply to enrichment workshops.

What are your campus hours?

The Anaheim Hills, Historic Anaheim, and North Tustin Campuses are open from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. 

We offer complimentary extended care from 7:00 AM- 9:00 AM and for 4:00 PM- 6:00 PM for full time students at no additional charge.  For those participating in our summer school program, complimentary care is from 7:00 AM- 9:00 AM before the program begins.  Summer school only students need to be picked up by 12:15 PM or they will join our afternoon summer camp program. 

For students located at our Prep Academy, student are able to be on campus from 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM.  The computer lab is available during those times for study and any classwork needed to be done.  

Is Fairmont closed on July 4th?

Yes! All campuses will be closed Tuesday, July 4th, in observance of Independence Day.

Does Fairmont provide snacks during the day?

For the preschool program, morning and afternoon snack is provided. For elementary - junior high program, only afternoon snack is provided. 

We recommend students in summer school and morning camp bring a morning snack to have at their break/recess.

Does Fairmont provide lunches?

A lunch and a drink are required each day for all full day campers. Fairmont is now offering a new, revitalized lunch program that offers fresh, healthy options that your child will enjoy. Using the most quality ingredients, these hot lunches are available for purchase and can be ordered daily or in advance at a cost of $6.00 per day. Credit card and check payment only.

All lunch orders must be requested by 9:00 AM at your campus. There will be no refunds due to absences, and current balances with Fairmont Nutrition Management are not transferable.

On Fridays, campers should bring their own sack lunch when lunch is not provided.

HEALTH & SAFETY

How do you screen your staff? Do you do background checks?

We take the safety of our campers very seriously, therefore we make sure that all of our counselors interacting with your child have all the skills needed to provide a fun and safe environment for all campers. 

Our counselors go through a lengthy and thorough interview and background check process conducted by our Human Resources and Summer Department as well as extensive training to prepare them for a fantastic summer.  All counselors are LiveScan fingerprinted and are background checked through the DOJ and FBI. 

If you are a school year Fairmont parent, you will notice many of our Student Services members that transition to counselors in the summer.  All school year staff, as well as returning counselors from previous summers are required to go through the application and training process each summer to keep their summer counseling skills fresh and new. 

 

What if my child has a severe allergy?

Please be sure to indicate any allergies your child has on the Health History Form as well as stating the severity. If your child requires an EpiPen, please check the EpiPen in at the front office for the duration of the student's time at Fairmont. EpiPens will be stored in the front office while the student is on campus and then transferred to your student’s assigned counselor for any off-site trips. Please label your child’s EpiPen with his or her name in its original packaging.

What if my child needs special medication at camp?

Prior to your first day at Fairmont, we will be asking you to complete a detailed Health & Emergency Form for your child. If your child requires any medication to be taken while they are at camp, we will ask you to give a full detailed description. All medication (prescription or otherwise) will need to be checked in at the front office. Students are not permitted to have medication on them. While on-site, all medication will be stored and distributed by the front desk nurse. While we are off-site for swim day or a field trip, all medication will be carried and distributed by your child's assigned counselor. Prescription medication should be in it's original packaging, including the doctor’s recommended dosage or instruction and be accompanied by an authorization for prescription medication form and a physician’s authorization form.

PRESCHOOL CAMP

Does my child need to be potty trained?

Yes, your child must be fully potty trained before attending Summer Camp. This means that they must be able to tell an adult that they need to use the restroom, and then use the restroom and wash their hands independently.

What does my child need to bring each day?

We have many fun activities that your child will get to participate on each day.

Here is a list of items that we recommend that you bring each day:

  1. An extra set of clothing for any accidents. Please include top, bottom, underwear and socks.  All extra clothes should be in a Ziploc bag labeled with your child’s name. 
  2. Campers that stay full day will need a crib sheet and a blanket for nap/rest time in a small zipped backpack. Please no piollows, stuffed animals, or sleeting bags.
  3. Tuesday & Friday are water play days.  On those days, please pack a bathing suit, towel, sunscreen,and  water shoes in a backpack.
  4. Additional Snacks – Fairmont will provide a morning and afternoon snack, however you are welcome to pack any additional snacks that you would like them to have during the day.
  5. Special sunscreen – Fairmont will provide sunscreen unless a special type of sunscreen is provided by the family. See sunscreen FAQ for full details. 

Please be sure to mark all articles of clothing and personal belongings with your camper’s first and last name. 

Extra set of clothing and naptime items can be left the full week unless it requires cleaning.  Bedding will be sent home on Friday to be laundered and returned on Monday.

What are your class sizes?

All Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten classes are arranged to maintain a maximum student-to-adult ratio of 8:1. We find that this ratio provides for optimal socialization and relationship building among the children. With multiple adults in a classroom, students receive close adult supervision during play, and focused teacher interaction during academic work time. Junior Kindergarten classes are a maximum of 18 students per teacher.

Is there a nap time?

Yes! If your preschool or JK camper is staying a full day they will need a crib sheet and a blanket for nap time in a small zipped backpack. Please be sure to mark all articles of clothing and personal belongings with your camper’s first and last name.

Preschool/Pre-Kindergarten campers will nap after lunch for about 90 minutes.
Junior Kindergarten campers will rest after lunch for about 60 minutes.

Please no pillows, stuffed animals, or sleeping bags. Bedding will be sent home on Friday to be laundered and returned on Monday.

What are the required Preschool forms and where can I find them?

Please login to your Camp-in-Touch account at https://fairmont.campintouch.com/v2/login/login.aspx to complete the required Fairmont forms or see attached packet. NON-FAIRMONT (first time) CAMPERS: The Social Services forms below need to be printed, completed, and brought on your first day of camp. CURRENT FAIRMONT CAMPERS: The Social Services forms are already on file and do not need to be completed again. Please only complete the Non-Parent/Guardian Pick Up form if needed.

Due to Social Services licensing, we will not be able to accept your child on their first day without the required forms.

Does my Preschooler need any immunizations to attend Summer Camp?

Yes, Fairmont requires updated immunization records for all NON-FAIRMONT campers. Please turn in a copy of your immunization record on your first day with your Social Services Forms. Our immunization record form can be found in your Camp-in-Touch account at https://fairmont.campintouch.com/v2/login/login.aspx once you complete enrollment.

If your child is a current Fairmont student, you are not required to provide an immunization record as we already have them on file.

My child is currently enrolled at Fairmont, do I still need to fill out the Preschool forms?

No. If your child is currently enrolled at Fairmont and you have already completed the Social Services health forms, you do not need to fill out the required Preschool forms.

How do I check my Preschool child in and out of camp?

Please use the front door only to enter and exit the school. All campers must be signed in and out daily by an adult with a full signature and time in the front office. Identification may be required to pick up your camper. All campers are to be picked up at their scheduled dismissal time. The campus closes at 6:00 PM.

Will you be providing sunscreen for the campers when they go outside?

We ask that all parents of summer campers apply sunscreen to their child in the morning before the start of camp. Please sign the Sunscreen Utilization Permission Form at the sign-in table on your first day to authorize us to apply sunscreen at lunch time for the rest of the day. This is especially important on waterplay days, as we will be outdoors for a majority of the day.

If your child is allergic to a specific sunscreen, please notify counselor on the first day.
