Summer Camp (Grades K-6th)

Discover a summer of excitement, enrichment, and entertainment! Fairmont offers morning, afternoon, and full-day camp options available each week throughout the summer. During the morning session, campers rotate between three exciting enrichment classes in science, art, and sports. Afternoon camp is jam-packed with activities like games, swimming, sports, science, art, and cooking. “Friday Fun Days” are filled with special events and field trips designed to keep your child active and engaged. Each week of camp is unique, keeping camp fresh all summer long.

Summer School (Grades K-5th*)

For three hours each day, Fairmont teachers focus on the skills most important to lifelong academic success: reading, writing, and mathematics. Whether your child is a straight-A student or in need of remediation, he or she will receive one-on-one attention from teachers who specialize in making learning fun. Part of each day is devoted to group work and learning stations. Teachers meet with small groups to differentiate and individualize the learning experience. When students are not working with the teacher in their small group, they rotate among a variety of learning stations that reinforce the daily lessons, promote independence, and encourage problem-solving. Students will be assessed on the first few days of the program to determine summer placement.

Elementary Summer School Highlights:

  • Reading & Phonics - vocabulary, comprehension, and critical thinking through the Treasures reading series
  • Writing Workshop - creative thinking, composition, spelling, penmanship, grammar, and syntax
  • Math - problem solving, basic concepts, and skill reinforcement using Fairmont’s Accelerated Math program.
